World Fisheries Day was first celebrated when the Global Fisher Movement was formed, in New Delhi in 1997. On Monday, 21 November, the Ocean People are coming together to commemorate its 25 years, recollecting the journey together, and the visionary leaders.
On this day, we pledge to continue our fight against destructive forces and reimagine the collective future, of oceans, earth and people. We invite you to join the Ocean People in this landmark celebration, using the Zoom link below, at 7:30 pm Indian Standard Time on 21 November.
